How much area does the Corral Cooler kit cover?
Each Corral-Cooler kit comes with materials to complete a typical installation in an average four-stall barn
(with entire area cooled). Use 2 to 3 misting nozzles per stall located near the door or a fan in the stall.
Misting nozzles should be spaced 2' apart along all other doors and windows in your barn where air travels
into your barn. Additional expansion parts can be purchased for larger barns, paddocks, or training arenas.
Additional kits should be purchased for separate buildings.

Will my barn be wet or moldy when I use the Cooler?
No, this kit's special misting nozzles introduce a micro-fine fog into the air. Because the micro-fine
spray of water flash-evaporates almost instantly it never gets a chance to reach the ground or walls
of your barn to cause wetness.

What if my barn is larger than 4 stalls?
In the typical installation the system is designed so you can easily nearly double the coverage area
(up to 42 misting nozzles) by buying additional components separately (up to an average 7 to 8
stall barn with the entire area cooled with one system is a good rule of thumb). Any time you need
to go beyond that size then it is recommended that you purchase an additional system and come
off of another hydrant at another location in your barn.

Does the Corral Cooler work for indoor arenas?
The Cooler is great for indoor arenas. Calculate your system requirements based on placing a
misting nozzle every 2' at perimeter locations along all openings into your arena. You may wish
to add a supporting set of misting nozzles down the center of your arena to cool air as it passes
through your arena (for best results make sure this extra set of misters are be positioned so the
air blowing through your arena would usually blow through the added line of mist). With proper
water pressure it is possible to run up to 200' of misting line and as many as 100 misters on
one system. To run this many misters you will need to make sure you have at least 90-100 PSI
of water pressure (up to 125 PSI can be handled by the system). Remember that you can always
purchase additional systems and come off of other hydrants in your arena if you need more
coverage or if you have lower water pressure.

Where are the best places to mount the Misting Nozzles?
It is not necessary to place misting nozzles every 2' throughout your barn. For best results
misting nozzles should be spaced 2' apart at perimeter locations where air will be moving into
the area you are cooling. Misting nozzles should be used along the perimeter of your barn so
air will be cooled as it passes through the mist and into your barn. To add to the cooling
effect you may wish to add a supporting line of misting nozzles at the center of your barn
to cool air as it passes through. In some instances you may wish to supplement the air flow
through your barn by putting your misting nozzles in front of a fan or fans.

How much water does the system use?
Each nozzle only uses 3/4 of a gallon of water per hour. This amount could vary slightly if you have
unusually low or high water pressure in your barn.

What if my barn has hard water?
It is recommended you replace the filter on the system every 6 months of system use.
If you have hard water you will probably need to replace the filter more often. Every 2 to
3 months might be necessary if you notice a decrease in water pressure at the misting nozzles.
Replacement filters are available individually.

What effect does Humidity have on the system's effectiveness?
The system has the ability to produce cooling so long as the atmosphere is not already completely
saturated. As the humidity in the air increases the results of using the system will be diminished
in an equal proportion. The dryer the day the more cooling you will have. For best results it is
suggested that you use an inexpensive box fan in each stall (mount the nozzles on the Corral Cooler
so that the fan blows through the mist produced by the system). Then use the fans alone on days when
the humidity diminishes the system's effectiveness and turning the misters on when the humidity in
your barn is at a reduced level.
